Brunch á la home

If you love having friends over it doesn't strictly have to be for dinner. Invite your friends over for BRUNCH! You already know by now how much I love brunch...such a great invention.

This post is to show you how you can host a great but very easy brunch at home. You'll see that is very little work! the trick is on getting the freshest and best products at your local market and a variety of them so everyone has a choice. Remember to serve fruits, cheeses, bread, croissants, coffee and tea. And in order to be complete, fresh orange juice and a bottle of champagne to make Mimosas

brunch table
Brunch are a happy start to the day. I used my most colorful cloth despite of the winter! Set your table however you feel it looks pretty. You can put your savory on the left and sweets on the right, or a cheese corner and a fruit corner

cheese dips gorgonzola with champagne
Cheeses and dip. Here I have a dip of cream cheese and green onions. Just add chopped green onions to the cream cheese and let it sleep overnight so it absorbs all the flavor. Easy and so delicious. Also I got a gorgonzola with champagne from my local cheese store (Mercado San Antón). It was decadent

cheese plate brunch
You want to have different types of cheeses. I added a sweeter one on the left, which is a camembert like with mango and ginger and to the right I served a classic manchego

ham jamon and serrano with bread in brunch table
Loooots of bread! don't underestimate...remember all of the cheese and cold cuts will be eaten with bread. Besides jam and other cold cuts I served a duck rillette. It's similar to a pâté but with pieces of duck adding a lot of texture

goat cheese mini muffins perfect for brunch
Green onions and goat cheese muffins. These little treats are so easy to make and they disappear in a second! For the recipe click here

eggs en cocotte with salmon
This are my eggs en cocotte with smoke salmon! You got to have eggs on your brunch, and to make them in cocotte is an easy and fast way that won't take a lot of time from your hands. You just have to prepare them and put into the oven! For the full recipe click here

fruit beautifully served at brunch at home
For dessert I served peached in syrup with strawberries and sprinkle a bit of icing sugar on top

fresh berries at brunch home
On the sweet side you can also serve fresh berries, greek yogurt, granola and honey. Let everyone serve themselves to their liking
